Why we do this
We believe productive, healthy spaces don’t happen by accident – they’re built by people who care, using practices that respect the building, the people in it, and the environment around it. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to on every contract, whether it’s a single office or a full facility.
We see our environmental commitments and our commitments to people as part of the same idea. Looking after the planet is simply another way of looking after the communities and colleagues we rely on and who rely on us.
Creating healthier, more productive spaces
The way we clean affects the way people feel in a space. We choose our methods and materials with that in mind, working toward practices that support wellbeing as much as they support presentation.
Lower-impact products
We're moving our approved product list toward gentler, more environmentally considered formulations, phasing out harsh chemicals as better alternatives become available without compromising on results.
Cleaner indoor air
We favour low-VOC and fragrance-conscious products to protect the health of everyone who breathes the air in a building we service, staff and occupants alike.
Water and resource conscious
Our teams are trained in controlled-application techniques and use equipment chosen with efficiency in mind, aiming to achieve the same spotless result while using fewer resources.
Reducing waste on every site
Reusable microfibre systems and structured waste sorting are becoming standard practice across our contracts, with the goal of sending less to waste to landfill, site by site.
Smarter scheduling, fewer emissions
We group jobs by location rather than convenience, cutting unnecessary travel across our fleet and working to reduce the fuel and emissions behind every visit.
Watching our footprint
We track our environmental impact as we grow, and we're building the internal targets and measures that will let us report progress honestly over time.

None of this works without the people who show up to do it. We invest in training, fair treatment and genuine opportunity for our own teams, and we look for ways to extend that same care to the communities we operate in.

A standard everyone works to
Every person who represents Compass Facilities on site, in the office, or in front of a client is expected to act with honesty, respect and accountability. It’s a standard we hold ourselves to, not one we outsource.
We’re early in formalising some of these commitments, and we’re upfront about that we don’t hold third-party certifications or formal framework affiliations today. What we can promise is a genuine, ongoing effort to do better for our people, our communities and the environment, and to be transparent about that progress as it happens.
